PUBLIC NOTICE FOR DESTRUCTION OF SCHOOL RECORDS

According to school board policy #681, the Vallivue School District No. 139 hereby gives notice that special education records are no longer needed to provide education services to individuals with disabilities who were enrolled in the district as a student with a birth year prior to 1992 or left the school district prior to 2014. The district will destroy these special education records by August 30, 2019. Destruction of these records is the best protection against improper and unauthorized disclosure.
 
Please be aware that if you have special education records on file with the school district, these records may be needed for social security benefits or for other purposes in the future. If you wish to review the file or keep the file for your own records, please make the request to the Vallivue School District No. 139, Attention Special Education Records, 5207 S Montana Ave. Caldwell, Id 83607, within 45 calendar days before August 30, 2019.
